Step 1: Claim and verify your profile

Go to business.google.com and search for your business. If it already exists (Google auto-creates basic listings), claim it. If not, create it from scratch.

Verification options:

  • Postcard — most common; Google mails a 5-digit code to your business address (1–5 days)
  • Video call — increasingly available; show Google your business and surroundings live
  • Phone or email — available for some business types

You cannot edit most profile details until verified.

Step 2: Complete every field

Step 4: Collect reviews consistently
